While most die manufacturers will happily work from the AutoCAD drawing files produced by EnvelopeDesign2.0, lithographers are rarely able to work directly with drawings from PC based CAD programs. With EnvelopeDesign2.0, drawings can be converted to formats that can be used directly in a prepress environment.

Layout and envelope drawings in Adobe Illustrator file format that can be used directly by graphic artists in MAC based graphics programs are provided by EnvelopeDesign2.0.

With layout drawings provided electronically, it is much easier for lithographers to accurately set up and process your jobs. Jobs that used to be difficult are now easily handled! Layout drawings can include spotter marks, no ink areas, guide and gripper and a wealth of other information. Whether the lithographer is your customer or a vendor, giving them good information quickly, and in a form they can use directly, will have your jobs running smoother and faster.

Files for use by some advanced pre-press software can easily be produced as well. By using EnvelopeDesign2.0 created files in conjunction with software such as Pandora (by ScenicSoft), prepress staff need only place graphic elements on a single blank and the graphics are automatically placed correctly for an entire layout.
