includes a searchable database. The user can select and
load an existing envelope for modification so that new designs
never have to be created from scratch. |

Built-in
layout optimization tools allow the user to calculate the
yield of different available sheet sizes. The optimization
tool can also be used to calculate ideal sheet sizes
for some layouts. How "good" a layout is can be shown as %
yield, lb/1000 and $/1000. |

EnvelopeDesign2.0
includes
user definable layout options, which allow for choices
from basic step and repeat layouts to more complicated layouts.
The user can alternate row direction and have the program
rotate the last row 90° if it will allow more blanks
on a sheet. Blanks can also be put across the grain if
desired. For diagonal envelopes, options can be set so
the grain direction of all blanks are similar, or set to allow
any blank orientation. |

Flat
sheet litho features include "no print" back outs for
gum, as well as user definable guide and gripper allowances.
Cross grain and grain spacing between blanks as well
as edge of sheet spacing can all be defined independently. Layout
drawings can be exported in Lithographer "friendly" file formats.
Spotter and pin marks are automatically provided. |

EnvelopeDesign2.0
includes built-in tools for creating match size web envelopes
to help select required gear sets or ratio settings.
The Web tools can also help identify the envelopes that existing
knives could produce, or can be used to create new sets of
profile knives with maximum usefulness. |

can produce program files required for PHP presses from layout
drawings. |
|
|
|
|
Data
is stored in a Microsoft® Access file so data
can easily be accessed from other applications for reporting
or integration. The database file includes records for all
envelopes and layouts created as well as standard sheet
sizes and other user specific information. Records are flagged
as new or changed as appropriate by EnvelopeDesign2.0
to enhance integration with other programs. |

A
reporting tool allows users to print various reports
including die and layout lists based on date, customer or storage
location. Custom reports can easily be created based
on any of the data stored in the database. |
